today
There's a scene in Brokeback Mountain where the two lovers part after spending the summer together. It's forced and repressed and after they separate, one runs to the side of the road and starts dry heaving.
That's how I feel today.

lake disappears suddenly in chile
Lake Disappears Suddenly in Chile
It was there in March, all 5 acres of it, and now only a crater is left. Imagine the double take the scientists had when they "walked by." One theory is that an earthquake opened a fissure up in the ground that swallowed the water. I wish Google Earth could've recorded that.

today's mood: surreal
First:
Then: Paprika
In the middle of the movie, an older woman hobbles in shaking a cup of ice and groaning, stops in front of us and asks us loudly, "Does this movie have a plot line?" Then after being chastised, sits next to me, shifting and shaking her cup of ice for the rest of the movie. At the credits as everyone gets up to leave, I stand and she demands, "Do you want to get up?" as I maneuver around her. Crazy.
Then I get a call from my father.
And last, today's daily Wiki How-to article.
I'm ready for bed.
